Those Arcade1Up video game cabinets used to be pretty bad when they first came out with their super cheap build quality. You can't market and sell something like a fully built Virtuapin cab to the masses, no way to meet a price point they are willing to pay The only real problem is when someone buys one and it really really is not what they want and they buy it anyway.įor a little more money, one could buy the Arcade Legends Pinball, which is a step up from the 1up offering and is more versatileĪnd if one wants more than that even, then one is going to have to build a cab.

So they are perfect for those people, and there are lots of those people as evident by the salesĪnd they wouldnt much know or care 720p to 1080p. Look at the people who have a room lined with 1up cabs.
They are for people who just want a simple thing, that doesnt take up much room, that they just bring home plug in and it works Yea but they dont really make it for you, you are not the target audience, same as the arcade1up video game cabs that's a real shame (and I would guess this is a byproduct of the compute HW in use not the cost of a 1080 or better monitor)
but I know plenty of people that just dont want to deal with the SW and electrics to roll your own.ħ20p though. Personally, I DIY and got something MUCH better for the price. I guess it's how much is your time worth and how much do you REALLY want to DIY. I think I'll stick to my custom digital pinball machine that I built myself.ĭisapointed by it for sure, but I guess this is all about a price point. The features are the same, but at least it comes with a decent selection of games, including Attack from Mars, Fish Tales, Highspeed II, Junk Yard, Medieval Madness, White Water, Red & Ted’s Road Show, Hurricane, Tales of the Arabian Nights, and No Good Gofers.Įven for a hardcore Star Wars nerd, it's just not worth it. do yourself a favor and get the Attack from Mars version instead. If you don't mind the cons and plan to buy this machine.
